Olivia Matthews, our Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), is dedicated to helping you use exercise as a powerful tool for rehabilitation and long-term health. With a passion for making movement accessible to everyone, she tailors evidence-based exercise programs to suit your individual needs.
What Does an Accredited Exercise Physiologist Do?
An (AEP) uses exercise as a form of therapy to treat a very wide range of conditions. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic illness, or looking to improve your overall health, Olivia can create a tailored movement plan to suit your needs.
While you don’t need a referral to see an AEP, many patients come via their physiotherapist or GP. A physiotherapist may refer you to an AEP to help transition back into regular exercise, return to sport, or rebuild strength after an injury. GPs often recommend AEP services for patients managing chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or asthma, where structured exercise plays a crucial role in long-term health.
